Xi's special envoy to attend Mexican presidency handover ceremony

BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy Shen Yueyue, also vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, will attend the Mexican presidency handover ceremony in Mexico City, scheduled for Dec. 1.
Shen's attendance is at the invitation of the Mexican government, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said Tuesday.
