Huawei and Redington award best local IT business partners in Kenya

Huawei and Redington presented 43 awards to the best local partners and added 11 new universities and institutes as Huawei ICT academies at the second Partner Summit held on March 27 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Speaking at the summit, Stone He, CEO of Huawei Technologies Kenya, stressed the power of working together. "We cannot be successful without our partners, and we cannot develop partnerships unless our partners benefit as much or even more than us from the partnerships," said He.

The 43 awards were given out in areas such as network energy products, enterprise network products, IT products, training partner and expert contributors. Notable winners included: Gold Partner Award to Computech and Novel Technologies; Enterprise Partner of the year to Computech; Best Performing Sales Partners to employees from Computech, Express Automation, Sybyl, and Atlancis; Solution Partner of the year to Siemens.

The 11 new ICT Academies joining Huawei's network in Kenya were Katarina University, Laikipia University, Machakos University, Meru University of Science and Technology, Meru National Polytechnic, Technical University of Mombasa, Kisii University, Kibabii University, Zalego Academy, SUMO Computers, and Botlab. In total, 23 universities and institutes in Kenya were benefitting from Huawei's latest curriculums, training and globally renown certifications for their students.

During the summit, Huawei exhibited the latest leading ICT technologies, and partners shared their experiences on how to grow their businesses in Kenya together with Huawei and Redington.

Huawei and Redington have reiterated their commitment to facilitating a digital transformation ecosystem to implement joint innovations and expand the ecosystem in terms of industry alliances, business alliances, developer platforms, and open-source communities.

"We are very proud of our advances in these areas and look forward to working closely with our partners. We've no doubt the importance of leading ICT in transforming this country, in helping achieve the big four agenda," said Stone He.
