Chan said it was the most challenging film he had ever made but also the happiest. "I think the spirit of the movie is exactly the song that the coach often sings, namely 'fight to win'," he said.
Feng Kun, former captain of the Chinese women's volleyball team, said in an interview at the gala that she was glad to see such a unique film about their team.
