Climate change a crisis more profound than pandemic: Expert

The COVID-19 pandemic has come as a wake-up call for the world, urging humans to carry out a self-targeted revolution by adopting green development and lifestyles, said He Jiankun, an expert on climate change.
He, vice-chairman of the National Committee of Experts on Climate Change, said global warming is a crisis facing the planet that is more profound and severe than the pandemic.
By proposing to build a carbon neutral society by 2060, China will lead the world in green recovery in the post-pandemic era, he said.
