Concert to complement GBA’s Mid-Autumn Festival holiday

A Mid-Autumn Festival concert for the Greater Bay Area will be held in Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province in celebration of Mid-Autumn Day on Sept 21, a holiday focused on family reunions.
The concert will invite filmmakers and musicians from the Chinese mainland, the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao, and Taiwan.
Information about the gala was unveiled on Thursday afternoon during the opening ceremony for a three-week online shopping event dedicated to products from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The shopping event is being jointly overseen by the Ministry of Commerce, the provincial government of Guangdong, and the liaison offices of the central government in Hong Kong and Macao, to promote the integration of the Bay Area and drive increased consumption.
Together with the shopping festival, the gala will focus on the Greater Bay Area and the concept of reunion, according to Duan Rong, director of the concert.
Over one hundred popular stars are set to perform classic songs from the Greater Bay Area, which includes nine Guangdong cities as well as Hong Kong and Macao, he said.
