Last month was the hottest June on record globally, according to the EU's climate monitoring service, and even higher temperatures are expected in July and August due to the strengthening El Ni?o weather pattern. The heat has been driven by a combination of the El Ni?o and greenhouse gas emissions responsible for global warming.
