Under his energetic strokes, concentrated lines and color blocks overlap. Between rational and emotional states, Xu presents the depth and scope of his thought over time.
One can also venture into the universe of abstraction of the resident artist at the Chinese National Academy of Arts at his ongoing solo show, Research Trajectory: Xu Chenyang Solo Exhibition, which runs until June 15 at the LAN Gallery in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.
