Sichuan health authorities propose extending marriage leave to 20 days

Sichuan health authorities have proposed extending marriage leave in the province from five to 20 days, according to a draft revision to its population and family planning regulations recently released on Sichuan provincial health commission's official website.
Couples who undergo voluntary premarital health checkups would be granted an additional five days, bringing the total to 25 days.
The draft also includes extensions to parental leave, with maternity leave increasing from 60 days to 90 days for the first child, 120 days for the second, and 150 days for the third.
Paternity leave would be extended from 20 days to 30 days.
Public feedback on the draft is being collected from May 30 to June 30.
