With an extensive three-month tour spanning the country, the original West End production, Life of Pi, was staged at the Xiqu Centre in Hong Kong's West Kowloon Cultural District on Sunday.

The tour encompassed more than 10 Chinese cities, including Foshan, Shenzhen, Beijing and Guangzhou, boasting numerous sold-out shows.

Based on Yann Martel's globally acclaimed novel, the play first graced the stage in London's West End in 2019, garnering five Olivier Awards and three Tony Awards. The show ingeniously utilizes giant puppets, dynamic stage machinery, and immersive projection technology to bring to life the survival narrative of Pi and a Bengal tiger at sea.
