The Liao He Seven-Star Lake scenic area in Shenyang, Liaoning province, officially opened to visitors on July 2.

The opening coincides with the peak lotus flower blooming season. Over 600 acres (243 hectares) of lotus will bloom in July and August, creating a magnificent contrast between the pink lotus flowers and lush green leaves.

Over 200 species of wild birds, including egrets, cormorants, whiskered terns, and the nationally protected Oriental white stork, gather in this area to form a harmonious picture of coexistence between human and nature.

Visitors can stroll along a 1,000-meter-long wooden walkway to admire the exquisite beauty of the lotus flowers up close. Alternatively, they can take a boat ride through the sea of lotus flowers.
