Pakistan on Friday reaffirmed its strong diplomatic alignment with China, describing it as a “pillar of regional stability” and a close, time-tested friend. During the weekly press briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan emphasized that China’s development-focused diplomacy is closely aligned with Pakistan’s strategic and economic objectives.
Khan also highlighted the strengthening trilateral cooperation among China, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, portraying it as a key element of China’s broader vision for inclusive growth and regional integration.
He underscored that this cooperation is driven by mutual development goals rather than competition, and stressed that Pakistan remains fully supportive of China’s core national interests, including its positions on Tibet, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
According to Khan, the expanding engagement between Islamabad, Beijing, and Dhaka represents a natural progression of their longstanding relationships and shared regional interests.
