蘇亞雷斯6月25日撰寫的一封信件28日曝光，繼續(xù)為自己咬人一事辯解，稱“失去平衡”，牙齒磕了基耶里尼的肩膀。《衛(wèi)報》評論說，蘇亞雷斯這么強詞奪理，說服力比“我的家庭作業(yè)被狗吃了”差得遠著呢。
In a letter dated 25 June and revealed on Saturday, Suarez carried on defending his bite. He argued his lost his balance and his teeth hit Chiellini's shoulder. The Guardian mocked that a "dog ate my homework" type of excuse would sound much more plausible.
蘇亞雷斯寫到：“這事根本不像你們描述的那樣，我沒有下嘴，沒有蓄意咬人。
"In on way it happened how you have decribed, as a bit or intent to bite.

"After the impact... I lost my balance, making my body unstable and falling on top of my opponent. At that moment I hit my face against the player, leaving a small bruise on my cheek and a strong pain in my teeth.
不過，由7個人組成的評審委員會認定，咬人確系“毫無來由的蓄意行為”，“他咬了人家，想讓人受傷，起碼也要讓他失去平衡。”
However the 7-strong penal believed the bite was "deliberate, intentional and without provocation", "He bit the player wth the intention of wounding him or at least of destabilising him."
