The New Silk Road shopping center attracted a deluge of visitors from all around China during its trial operation and opened in Pingtan on July 16.

The Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province, recently hosted a meeting to discuss school-enterprise cooperation in tourism.
Xu Weize, director of Pingtan's administrative committee, went to Jinjingwan area on May 10, to inspect the progress of a cross-border e-commerce project there.
Pingtan, Fujian province shall take advantage of its island location to make itself a significant place for water sports events, said Yu Zaiqing, vice president of the International Olympic Committee.
