The NYG is the largest sports meeting ever in Fujian, with more than 7,900 athletes aged between 13 to 21 from 80 cities competing from Oct 18 to 27.
Pingtan will host all softball events of the National Youth Games, from Oct 18 to 27, in a state-of-the-art softball stadium which is said to be one of the best in the country.
About 260 workers are working around the clock to complete the project ahead of schedule originally set for sometime in July, according to a supervisor.
The softball matches will be held in Pingtan in the second half of October. And a series of test games has been arranged for late July.
Pingtan county in Fujian province has terrific conditions for softball, according to insiders, local news portal ptnet.cn reported.

Authorities have placed Games elements in every corner. More than 3,000 banners and posters have been hung up in streets, scenic resorts and supermarkets.
The first delegation for the first National Youth Games (NYG) arrived in Pingtan, Fujian province, on Wednesday midnight.
