Construction of the second phase of the Shanghai International Short Video Center will commence this October.
Covering an area of 5.59 hectares, the second phase includes the construction of three new buildings - two for offices and one for apartments and talents training. The project, which represents an investment of 100 million yuan ($15.49 million), will expand the number of shooting scenes to 400 when it is completed in January 2023.
Located in Anting town in Shanghai's Jiading district, the center will be built in three phases. The first phase involved setting up over 200 indoor and outdoor scenes for short videos shooting and livestreaming. The third phase, which is expected to commence in 2025, will see the establishment a headquarters building.
Once construction is completed, the Shanghai International Short Video Center will form a new commercial model that integrates short video advertising and livestreaming sales.
The center will strive to be first industrial park to offer one-stop services for short video shooting and livestreaming industries, as well as the largest and the most complete industrial incubator in China.
