Shanxi’s world cultural heritage shows at International Tourism Expo in Paris
Shanxi’s tourism once again stepped on the world stage with its three world cultural heritages, Yungang Grottoes of Datong, Mount Wutai, and Pingyao ancient town showing at the 2012 International Tourism Expo in Paris, March 15-18.
This is a good opportunity for Shanxi to publicize its tourism image and its famous scenic spots.
The Paris International Tourism Expo is the most influential tourism exposition in France, annually held and mainly for the publicity of overseas traveling.
Lots of visitors during the Expo showed great interest in the scenic spots of Shanxi, especially to the Pingyao ancient town and Yungang Grottoes.
The Shanxi provincial tourism bureau and the Shanxi delegation to the Expo also held promotional activities and symposiums during the Expo. This made the local traveling agencies more familiar with Shanxi’s tourism to further enrich their traveling routes in China.
