東海休漁結束漁船待發
The 3 1/2-month summer fishing ban in the East China Sea will end at 12 pm Sunday, Voice of China reported. Statistics show that each year more than 1,000 Chinese fishing ships from Fujian, Zhejiang and other coastal provinces enter the Diaoyu Islands waters but they are usually disturbed by Japanese. The fishermen said they will set out for waters near Diaoyu Islands after the super typhoon Sanba, the year's 16th, moves away.
據中國之聲報道，今天中午12點，我國東海將結束3個半月的伏季休漁。據統計，福建、浙江等沿海省份，每年進入釣魚島海域作業的漁船有1000多艘，但往年里，漁民作業會受到日方的干擾。鑒于今年第16號超強臺風"三巴"正逼近東海海面，漁民表示，臺風過后將赴釣魚島海域捕魚。

The Japan Coast Guard and police agency announced in an official statement Friday 19 places where its Coast Guard officers can exercise police rights, including the Diaoyu Islands, Kyodo News reported. Takeshima (known as Dokdo Island in South Korea), the disputed islands between Japan and South Korea, and the Northern Territories (known as the Kuril Islands in Russia), the disputed islands between Japan and Russia, are not included in the list because "they were under actual control of foreign countries and unable to be governed by law."
據日本共同社消息，日本海上保安廳和警察廳14日通過政府官報公示了19個海上保安官可行駛警察權的地點，其中包括釣魚島。而有關竹島(韓國稱獨島)和北方四島(俄羅斯稱南千島群島)，日本則以"處于外國的實際控制之下，事實上不可能執行法律"為由排除在外。

A teacher from Zhejiang Agriculture and Forest University became a hit online after he turned the selection of class leader into a show like "The Voice of China", Beijing Daily reported. On the stage of "The Monitor of the Class", candidates who can make him turn around are qualified. Fang Chaoming said he made the show to encourage students' creative thinking.(See photo)

Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer announced that in December Microsoft will give all 90,000+ full-time employees a new Surface RT tablet, a new PC with Windows 8 (employees can choose among desktops, laptops, ultrabooks and tablets) and a Windows Phone 8 device, forbes.com reported. With the news spreading, its employees compared Ballmer to the famous talk show host known for giving away valuable prizes to audience members at random, saying, "Steve Ballmer is the new Oprah!"

海鷗偷相機拍絕景(圖)
A seagull stole a camera and recorded a beautiful sunset as it flew through the sky, foreign media reported. Natalie Rollandin, an Italian tourist, had her camera snatched off as she was filming a glorious sunset near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the US. The bird skimmed (掠過) over San Francisco Bay with the camera rolling for about 60 seconds, capturing the world-famous landmark from a unique vantage point. The bird dropped its prize off on a promenade (人行道) and flew off into the sunset.(See photo)
據外媒報道，意大利游客娜塔莉·羅蘭丹近日在美國舊金山金門大橋拍攝壯觀日落時，一只海鷗叼走了她的相機并拍下了日落美景。這只"小偷"海鷗抓著保持正常拍攝的相機，用了大約60秒時間掠過舊金山灣，相機隨著它從獨一無二的視角抓拍到了這個世界著名地標的景象。最后，海鷗將它的"戰利品"丟在人行道上，然后在落日的余暉中飛走了。(見圖)
