Taxi fares in eastern municipalities (直轄市) and provincial capitals are generally higher than those in middle and western cities in China, according to data worked out by people.com.cn. The base fare (起步價) of RMB14 in Shanghai ranks top, followed by Beijing (RMB13). It is in Haikou and Lhasa that the taxi fare burden is the heaviest, if considering the ratio of 10 km cab fares to the per capita disposable income of urban residents in 2012.
由人民網(wǎng)整理的全國各直轄市、省會城市出租車價格數(shù)據(jù)顯示，東部各直轄市、省會城市出租車價格普遍高于中西部地區(qū)。上海出租車起步價以14元的價格位居首位，北京(13元)緊隨其后。而按打車10公里所花金額占該城市2012年城鎮(zhèn)居民人均可支配收入比例計算，市民打車負(fù)擔(dān)最重的城市為海口和拉薩。

>Astronauts enter Tiangong-1
神十航天員進駐天宮1號
The astronauts of the Shenzhou-10 spacecraft entered space module Tiangong-1 on Thursday afternoon, Xinhua reported. The 3 astronauts - Nie Haisheng, Zhang Xiaoguang and Wang Yaping - opened the hatch of Tiangong-1 at 4:17 pm, and entered it one by one in a floating state. They will conduct a number of scientific and technical experiments during the flight, in a bid to gather experience for future space station.
據(jù)新華社報道，北京時間13日16時17分，神舟十號航天員成功開啟天宮一號目標(biāo)飛行器艙門，聶海勝、張曉光、王亞平以漂浮姿態(tài)依次進入天宮一號。據(jù)了解，在天宮一號與神舟十號組合體飛行期間，3名航天員將開展多項空間科學(xué)實驗和技術(shù)試驗活動，為后續(xù)空間站工程建設(shè)積累經(jīng)驗。
>China limits pilot overtime
民航飛行員多疲勞駕駛
The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) will conduct a safety inspection in the industry from June 20 to the end of September, cnr.cn reported. CAAC will cut flights and restrict operations in airlines which have their employees working overtime. Data shows China needs 3,000 new pilots every year, yet only about 2,000 professional pilots graduate from school annually. The shortage has made overtime working the norm (慣例) among many pilots.

The Russian lower house has passed a law which bans "gay propaganda," AFP reported. If individuals use media or Internet for such "propaganda," they can be fined up to 100,000 rubles (RMB19,000), while organizations can be fined up to 1m rubles and can be closed down for up to 90 days.

Edward Snowden, the man who blew the whistle (告密) on the US government monitoring telephone and Internet data, could be charged with 36 offenses under both Hong Kong and American laws, said a person with knowledge of the Hong Kong government's work on the case, The New York Times reported. Local government lawyers, working with US government lawyers, had identified 36 offenses, the person said. One of them involves the release of official secrets, which is illegal in both Hong Kong and the US.

Apple is exploring launching iPhones with bigger screens, as well as cheaper models in a range of 5-6 colors, over the next year, as it takes a cue (暗示) from rival Samsung, Reuters reported citing insiders. Apple is looking to introduce 2 bigger iPhones next year - one with a 4.7-inch screen and one with a 5.7-inch screen. The US firm has discussed a price of $99 (RMB769) for the cheaper phone.

The world's thinnest watch - just 0.8mm thick - has been designed using a single piece of bendy stainless steel, the Daily Mail of London reported. The CST-01 watch is thinner than a credit card and shows the time on an electronic ink display. It has a battery that can be charged in 10 minutes and has a lifetime of 15 years.
