Chen Rui, senior operations manager of Zeny Supply Chain-Legend Holdings, visited Xi’an International Trade and Logistics Park (ITL) on Jan 9 and met with Qiang Xiao’an, director of the ITL, to discuss cooperation opportunities.
Chen visited No 2 Exchange Square in Huanan City, the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, container center station and corporate headquarters area. The ITL also showed him a promotional video on the Planning Exhibition Hall, and gave a presentation about the operation and construction of the park. The Investment Promotion Bureau of Administrative Committee in the ITL also discussed their strategy and projects of the park.
Chen praised the operation and construction of the inland port. He also spoke highly of the staff’s entrepreneurial passion and dedication. After that, he gave a detailed introduction of Zeny Supply Chain-Legend Holdings, and said that, as a member of Legend Holdings, Zeny Supply Chain is committed to promoting the development of China’s special logistics (cold chains and automobile logistics) and trade logistics, and making it a modern, comprehensive logistics service provider that integrates material, information, capital and trade flows.
Qiang said that if a famous brand like Lenovo could help strengthen communication and start cooperation with the ITL, the construction speed and quality of the park would be greatly accelerated, and this would also help promote investment. Both sides reached an agreement for further discussion on cooperation.
Zeny Supply Chain Co Ltd was set up by Liu Chuanzhi and 11 other scientific researchers in 1984, with investment of 200,000 yuan ($33,100) from the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The total sales volume of Legend Holdings reached 183.1 billion yuan in 2013, with 150.5 billion yuan of gross assets.
