Shenzhen is the host city for the upcoming 26th Summer Universiade 2011.

Twenty-two new sports venues were built for the Universiade games.

The Shenzhen Bay Sports Center, also known as Spring Cocoon and the venue for the games' opening ceremony, is a dazzling addition to Shenzhen's tourism map.
