A man was suspected of being a drunk driver after failing a breath test, but a subsequent blood test showed his blood-alcohol rate to be zero, the Beijing Times reported.

The man,claimed he had eaten around 2 kg of lychees before driving and police said the fruit contains a very low level of alcohol which only stays in the mouth rather than the blood. The driver washed out his mouth with water and passed the breath test.
