Tsinghua University supplying talent to country's key sectors


From advanced manufacturing to national defense, energy and scientific research, Tsinghua University is channeling talent into key sectors considered vital to the nation's development. Over the past five years, more than 2,300 of its graduates have joined the manufacturing and energy industries, with the employment rate at major State-owned employers topping 80 percent, according to the university.
The university has led delegations to key employers such as China National Nuclear Corporation, Aviation Industry Corporation of China and China North Industries Group to sign comprehensive cooperation agreements.
This year, about 9,000 students are expected to graduate from Tsinghua. So far, nearly 80 percent of them have already received job offers or finalized employment contracts, according to the university.
